Lyric Lee

Lyric Lee is a visual creator of mix media arts. She has specialized in photography, film, and video productions for over six years. Born in Brooklyn, New York. Lyric Lee found her love for the arts through influences from black Films and artist like Spike Lee, Gordan Parks, Terrence Nance. Raised in North Carolina, she has accomplished a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and has entered in varies competitive art shows. She is a graduate from East Carolina University with a concentration in film and video productions.
Earlier in 2017, she won 2nd place in a juried art show; the Black Light Project: Community fine Art Exhibit and Presentation Displaying positive Images of African American Life. Lyric's work was based on educated African American Children. Her work, "Triston's Graduation," caught the eyes of the jury and gained her work momentum.
In 2018, Lyric Lee's traditional analog photography, Mother to Daughter, and No Crystal Stair, was held in the North Carolina Museum of Art for a year. She was blessed for this opportunity, by working through a Transculture workshop over the Summer of 2018. Her work is inspired by one of her favorite poems by Langston Hughes. The Two pieces will display the intimate view of a mother and child.
Lyric has multiple short films that she has wrote, produce, and directed. Her latest narrative film, Natalie is streamed through different platforms such as Vimeo, and Youtube. She is now working on a new short narrative film entitled Fix It, it is based around contemporary realism, and the mishaps of pregnancy. The film will be submitted into a few film festivals for 2023 and streamed on Vimeo.
